Hi, I'm Danny Youm. I've been a software engineer for 10 years and consider myself a generalist in software. I'm interested in all areas of the stack, though these days I'm primarily working as a backend developer. I have experience across AppSec, frontend, backend, databases, DevOps, and automation.

I have a BS in Computer Science from Seoul National University and an MS from Georgia Tech, where I specialized in AI. On the side, I enjoy doing projects with data science, machine learning, and AI; I occasionally dabble with hardware too when I have the chance.

When I'm not coding, I try to spend as much time with my family as I can. Before becoming a parent I trained MMA, Muay Thai, boxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu as much as I could fit in my schedule.
